Frequently Asked Questions

Orders, Lead Times & Shipping

How long until my order ships?

  • Raw/Machined: typically about 1 week
  • Powder Coat Add-On: typically adds 2–3 weeks
  • USA-Forged: usually about 2 weeks from payment to ship

We will email tracking information as soon as your order leaves our shop.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Contact us for an international shipping quote. Duties, taxes, and import fees are the buyer’s responsibility.

Can I change or cancel my order?
If manufacturing, machining, or finishing has not started, we will do our best to help. Once wheels are in production, coated, or staged to ship, changes or cancellations may not be possible.

Powder Coating & Finishes

Why is powder coating an add-on?
Many brands import wheels already painted overseas. We finish many of our wheels locally with professional powder coating for tighter quality control and durability. The add-on covers coating, transport, masking, quality control, and repackaging. Raw or machined sets usually ship faster, while powder coating typically adds 2–3 weeks.

Which colors do you offer?
Common options include Blackout, Dark Earth Bronze, Forged Gray, Factory Gold, plus raw/machined finishes. Custom colors may be available by quote.

Can you rush powder coating?
Sometimes. Rush or small-batch powder coating may be available for an additional fee depending on scheduling.

Fitment & Specs

What bolt patterns and offsets do you offer?
See each product page for available bolt pattern, backspacing, and offset. If you are unsure, message us with your year, make, model, brake setup, tire size, lift, and desired stance and we will help confirm fitment before you order.

Backspacing vs. offset — what’s the difference?

  • Backspacing: measured in inches from the hub mounting surface to the inner wheel lip
  • Offset: measured in millimeters from the hub mounting surface to the wheel centerline

Negative offset pushes the wheel outward. Positive offset tucks it inward.

Are your wheels hub-centric or lug-centric?
Most truck and SUV applications are lug-centric. We machine bores to fit common hubs, and hub-centric rings may be included or recommended for certain applications.

What about load rating and weight?
We build wheels for real-world truck and off-road use. Check the product specs for load rating, weight, center bore, and other details for each size and application.

Beadlocks & Street Use

What is the difference between a true beadlock and a simulated beadlock?

  • True Beadlock: uses a mechanical outer ring to clamp the tire bead for off-road and low-pressure use
  • Simulated Ring: provides the beadlock look while using a standard safety bead wheel design intended for normal street use

Are your true beadlock wheels street legal?
Battle Born Wheels true beadlock wheels are intended for off-road use only unless otherwise explicitly stated. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding beadlock wheel use on public roads.

Do your beadlock wheels include rings and bolts?
Yes. Beadlock ring hardware is included. Our beadlock hardware is Grade 8.

Where can I find beadlock install and maintenance information?
Please review our Beadlock Installation & Maintenance page for torque specs, maintenance requirements, and important safety information.

Tires, TPMS & Hardware

Will my factory TPMS sensors work?
In most cases, yes. Most OEM sensors can be transferred. New sensors and valve options may also be available.

What lug nuts should I use?
Use the correct seat type and thread pitch for your vehicle and wheel application. Always torque lug nuts to the proper specification and retorque after the first 50 miles of use.

Do you mount and balance tires?
We primarily ship wheels only. Most customers have their wheels mounted and balanced locally. If you need a mounted package, contact us to discuss options.

Care & Maintenance

How do I care for raw or machined aluminum?
Wash with mild soap and water, dry thoroughly, and protect the finish with an appropriate wheel sealant if desired. Avoid harsh acids, abrasive pads, and caustic cleaners.

How should I care for powder-coated wheels?
Hand wash with mild soap and water. Avoid aggressive chemicals and harsh automatic car wash products. If you drive in salted or harsh conditions, rinse the wheels regularly.

Returns, Exchanges & Damage

What is your return policy?
Eligible returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. Returned items must be unused, unmounted, and in original packaging. Custom-built, custom-machined, forged-to-order, powder-coated, special-order, clearance, and sale items are generally final sale. Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 20%, and return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If it arrives damaged, take clear photos of the packaging and product and contact us within 48 hours so we can help start the claim process.

Warranty

What does your warranty cover?

  • Structural Warranty: lifetime coverage to the original retail purchaser against structural failure caused by defects in material or workmanship under normal and intended use
  • Finish Warranty: 2 years on factory-applied finishes against defects in material or workmanship
  • Beadlock Functional Warranty: 1 year on beadlock system function against defects in material or workmanship

This warranty does not cover impact damage, trail damage, cosmetic damage, corrosion from harsh chemicals or environment, improper installation, improper maintenance, or misuse. Please review our full Limited Warranty page for complete details.

Pricing, Dealers & Sponsorships

Do you price match?
We maintain consistent pricing with our authorized dealers through MAP policies. If you believe you found incorrect pricing, send us a screenshot and we will review it.

Do you offer dealer pricing?
Yes. We offer dealer programs for qualified businesses. Contact us through our Dealer Inquiry page for more information.

Do you offer sponsorships?
We selectively partner with builds, creators, and programs that align with our brand and deliver measurable value. If you are seeking sponsorship, send your media kit, project details, and proposal.

USA-Forged vs. Imports

What is the difference?
Our USA-forged wheels are machined in-house from forged blanks for maximum strength, custom sizing flexibility, and premium fit and finish. Our imported cast wheel lines are engineered by us and produced to our specifications at vetted manufacturing partners, offering a strong value-driven option at a lower price point.

Why are forged wheels more expensive?
Forged wheels start with a denser, stronger material and require significant machining time, setup, and finishing. You are paying for premium material, precision machining, flexibility, and USA-based production.

Orders & Payments

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and available financing options offered at checkout.

Do you charge sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated at checkout where applicable.
